The franchise fee for USA Insulation is $25,000 with an additional $3,000 per territory added beyond the first.  This fee is not to exceed $70,000.  Real Estate/Rent is estimated at somewhere between $833 and $4,000 prior to opening the store.  Utility Deposits are estimated at up to $750.  Leasehold improvements are expected to cost between $5,000 and $8,000.  Furniture, fixtures, and equipment are expected to be between $25,000 and $50,000.

Initial inventory will cost between $10,000 and $30,000.  Insurance are estimated between $2,000 and $5,000.  Signage is expected to be between $3,000 and $3,600.  Office equipment and supplies will cost between $3,000 and $5,000.  A company vehicle will run between $1,200 and $4,500.  Grand opening advertising is estimated to cost between $3,000 and $8,000.  A trade show booth will cost between $5,000 and $6,000.  Dues and Subscriptions will cost $1,000.  Training will cost between $4,000 and $6,000.  Licenses and Permits are estimated between $250 and $2,000.  Legal and Accounting fees cost between $1,000 and $3,000.  Additional funds for the first three months of working funds should be expected to be between $45,000 and $75,000.

This makes the total initial investment between $134,283 and $281,850.  It should be noted that these costs are necessary prior to store opening.  These prices are rough estimates, and can vary depending upon the area that the franchise is being started in.

The continuing services fee, often called the royalty fee, is 6% of the gross sales or a minimum of $600 which is paid weekly. This fee entitles the franchise to the use of the USA Insulation trademark, use of distinctive system, marketing assistance, ongoing business development, counseling, and other benefits that come with being a part of the USA Insulation family.

Each franchise has an exclusive territory, allowing the franchise to do business without fear of being overtaken by another USA Insulation franchise.  The length of terms for the franchise is 5 years.  These terms are renewable up to 3 times at 5 years each, allowing for a total of 20 years.

Advertising for the franchise is a necessity.  Advertising costs will be at least 15% of gross monthly sales.  In addition, the franchise will be responsible for marketing fund contributions of up to 2%, not to exceed $1000 a month.
